This story starts with Skull finding out Beth is alive. Not only is she alive she has a daughter......Skulls daughter. Torch is sent to find them and bring them back. A chance meeting in a bar sets Torch and Katie on odyssey unlike any other. Their story is funny and heartbreaking. Its a story of realizing you are good enough no matter your limitations. Its a story of believing there is good in the world even though your whole life you were shown the opposite. Its full of touching moments that will bring tears to your eyes. There may be an elevator scene that is so hot yet so moving that you reach for the tissues. Dont get me wrong its also full of funny moments as well. Katie is a spitfire. She definitley can go toe to toe with Torch. And Torch certainly has his work cut out for him in trying to tame her.
All her life everything Katie has done she has done for Beth. And now she not only fights for Beth she fights for her niece. They are all that matters to her. Until Hunter!
Torch has never wanted anything permanent. A couple of days or a couple of weeks its all he's ever been willing to give. Until Katie!
After Katie overhears a conversation between Torch and Skull she thinks that everything that has been building between her and Torch is a lie. She runs!
Now Torch must find her in time to keep her safe from her past and some how convince her that what she heard was misunderstood.
Once again Jordan Marie has delivered a story that draws you in from the beginning. My eyes were glued to my reader and I found I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I have come to expect the best from her and I can say this book was certainly one of her best.
